SUNGURA kingpin Alick Macheso continues with his joint shows with Paradzai Mesi and tonight they are set to perform at The Platinum in Mutare.

Macheso and Mesi have cemented their relationship through various shows and they are set to ignite Mutare with their combination.

The Platinun has become one of Macheso’s best venues in Manicaland and he performs there regularly.

Venue owner Isau Mupfumi said they will be pleased to have another night of music and dance with Macheso.

“We are happy with what Macheso has been doing. He is helping in bringing back Mesi into active music and we salute him. Macheso is popular here and most of his shows at the venue were fully packed. We are optimistic that this will also be a big show,” said Mupfumi.

Macheso publicist Tich Makahamadze said returning to Mutare means going for another trip of fun since they always have good shows at The Platinum.

“It is a good venue. We enjoy going there regularly because our shows have been fantastic. We have prepared a special act for our fans in Mutare as a way of saluting them. We are happy with our relationship with Mesi and we will take the combination to many parts of the country,” said Makahamadze.

Meanwhile, another sungura musician Peter Moyo will tomorrow perform at Club Joy Centre at Makoni business Centre in Chitungwiza.

The young musician said he was encouraged by the reception of his new album “Mopao Mokonzi”.

“The response is overwhelming and people are coming to our shows in numbers.

Some of the tracks on the album are “Mweya Mutsvene”, “Musara Pavana”, “Kurera Haizinyore”, “Mudiwa Wangu”, “Baba NaMai” and “Muridzi Weupenyu”.
