Response to “Free legal clinic for Epworth girls”

Young men are overlooked yet they are also vulnerable. — @gsande263.

*** Response to “Mbare Musika faces temporary closure”

Moving long distance buses to new designated sites is a great way to motivate vendors to leave the central business district. — @ReidLyton. The Herald — Zimbabwe

Response to “African dream houseboat spectacle grips Masvingo”

The turning circle determines the route to use, and the obstructions along the way, buildings, electrics, bridges etc. They probably did a survey from where the journey begins to where it ends checking better routes to use because of the size and length of the vehicle and the load. — Munya Nazare Bere.

We applaud the First Lady for investing in women and increasing their participation in the economy. — Thandeka.

*** Response to “VP Mphoko donates to the elderly”

It is great to know that our leaders always remember to take good care of the elderly because most of these people cannot do things neither can they provide for themselves. — Rukudzo Choto. SMS/WhatsApp: +263774111101

The nightmare of walking in Harare’s central business district is almost over. I hope the city stays like this. — Mai Mahembe, Warren Park 1.

*** All Zimbabweans let’s go out in our numbers and register to vote, that’s the coolest thing to do. — Morris, Bindura.

*** Response to “Chungwa rescues Makepekepe”

Usually winners take the limelight. That’s granted. There is more to talk about winners than losers, but please let’s be fair here and maybe reasonable too. CAPS United beat Triangle 1-0 and the scoreline indicates that it was a tight encounter. Now for a reporter to pen such a long article and only mention what Triangle did all day in just about twoand-a-half sentences at the end of the piece is not only unfair to Triangle, but gross lack of journalistic ethics. — Masaisai. www.herald.co.zw

Response to “Truckers block Beitbridge Border Post”

We should be making efforts to ensure clearing of goods is more transparent and quicker to reduce any hindrances to the smooth flow of traffic. There are many innovative technologies and systems that can be implemented to deal with clearance in the shortest possible time. Everyone knows that the delays are man-made to force truckers to pay bribes. — Gary Weku Zviyambe.

*** Response to “79 vendors nabbed in police crackdown”

A welcome move indeed, but I have observed that not much has been done to rid the city of mushikashika kombis and taxis who are the first culprits in town congestion and enablers of illegal vending. We want to see legislation against the nuisance where instead of dangerous cat and mouse chase by authorities, only vehicle registration numbers and other details are collected and the owners arrested, fined or jailed. This is a very peaceful method effective in South Africa and other countries. The same laws and by-laws should also target push cart owners who have inconvenienced many shoppers and business owners in the capital. — Casy.
