The expo which seeks to create business relations between small and big businesses and craft investment deals will comprise of exhibitors from Kariba and other parts of the country.

It will also have exhibitors from Sadc.

One of the organisers Miss Nkosinomusa Tshuma said scores of exhibitors had so far registered to showcase their businesses today at Mopani Bay.

“We have individuals, small and medium enterprises and national corporates exhibiting this year. AMC Motors and Moonlight Funeral Services among other big corporates will exhibit this year,” Miss Tshuma said.

Although there is a slight increase in the number of exhibitors from last year’s 24, organisers are very much optimistic that they will be a huge turnout for this year’s event owing much to publicity provided by a local radio station Nyaminyami FM which became operational late last year.

“We are expecting a large turnout this year with hopes of hosting attendance from Siavonga (a Zambian town close to the resort town),” added another organiser.

Nyaminyami FM, a number of local travel and tourism businesses and fishery companies will also showcase with the radio station expected to entertain people at its stand.

Free mechanical check-ups will be provided at the AMC Motors stand throughout the expo.

“We will provide vehicle check-up for every vehicle that visits our stand and give the diagnostic reports to the vehicle owners for free,” Mr Tichaona Muvimwa, AMC Kariba Branch Supervisor said.

Muvimwa also urged people to come in their number and have business interactions.

Kariba Business Expo is a yearly occasion that has stayed running each year since 2010 in the resort town and is organised by Safecan Holdings, a business organisation that deals in travel and tourism and events management.

This year, the expo is running under the theme: “Forging lasting relationships”.
