Responses to “Newspaper vendors get ultimatum”

Newspaper vendors should get licences because if they are banned from operating in the city how will people get newspapers? If licences are not available it means we must all resort to the internet for news. - @CharlesGari

*** The licence fee is too high. How should vendors pay when they are getting 5 percent for selling newspapers? It’s absurd. Council must set these rates according to the earnings capacity of these people, not just proposing rates off head. - @Rangarirai

*** This is going to make life difficult for print media houses. How will they get their products to the audience? -@Yolanda12

*** Responses to “All set for Muvuti burial” Rest in peace. - @Danmore

*** We have lost a gallant son of the nation. May your soul rest in eternal peace. - @ SharonMtava

Responses to “Violence against children unacceptable”

To avoid children abusing each other there is need to introduce pre-school enrichment programmes to give young children an educational head start on life skills and assisting high-risk adolescents to complete schooling. We can also reduce alcohol availability through the enactment and enforcement of tighter liquor licensing laws, taxation and pricing.

However, in the case of adults being violent against the young, there is need to implement stringent laws to deter those who continue to abuse children. - Chanel Furai

*** Children are innocent and should not be violated in any way. Everyone must treat someone’s child the way they would want their child to be treated. - Raymond

*** Violence at an early age impedes the development of the brain and may lead to mental problems or to one becoming a social recluse. It wouldn’t be nice to see a child having problems fitting well into society because of the way they grew up. Childhood is the foundation of anyone’s life so it should be memorable and inspiring, not discouraging or demoralising. - Young at heart

How can they deny the charges when they are seen on a video circulating on social media actually confessing to have committed the crimes? - Livingstone Huruyadzo *** They must be joking. Evidence is there; they should get ready to serve their sentence. - Nyashy Nyasha

Response to “Jah Prayzah assaulted at funeral”

Once again, we see a different Zimbabwe from the one we are used to. A funeral is an extremely solemn and dignified event. It requires mourners to be sober. If this musician owed anyone money then there are traditional procedures which can be used to get the money. Fighting at a funeral is simply bad. -Chamunorwa
