Ability to change for Christ

-

Ephesians 4 vs 22-25; “That you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” WHAT would it take to make you change as a person; to take away your hard heart and all the things that come with a state of mind that is not contrite and in line with GOD’s will?

The question that we never ask with conviction is: what would it take for you to hear the call of GOD on your life, to listen attentively and decide that you will never do wrong again?

We all have excuses that we parrot as to why we do the things that we do. Some blame their upbringing, others claim it’s the horror of the things they have gone through, while others say they just don’t know why they do the things they do.

Do we really have the ability to change and become new creations? Are we able to make an effort through His grace, to just be angelic? What a wonderful place this world would be! Many of us are so caught up in doing the wrong things that we have forgotten the pleasure and satisfaction that comes from doing things right.

Within each one of us is the ability to listen to GOD’s call on our life, to leave all else and say, “Here I am LORD.”

Let us make an effort to change through His strength and become His chosen vessels. Let us listen to God’s will and allow our conscience to drive each one of us to do what we know is right. Be blessed.
