UPCOMING gospel musician Savison Machetu last week released a single titled “Kwaakandibvisa” that he collaborated with gospel songstress Olinda Marowa. Machetu said the single is meant to pave way for his upcoming album that would be released in December.

“I have an album that is coming but for now I have decided to go with the single. I am thrilled with the collaboration. Pastor Olinda has been my source of inspiration and it was such a blessing to work with her,” he said.

“Kwaakandibvisa” is a testimonial song elaborating the love of God regardless of a person’s background, colour, race ethnicity or gender.

“God loves us all and we have to be grateful for that. The song encourages people regardless of their background to thank God who shows us unconditional love every single day,” he said.

He also thanked producer of the song Gibson Makumbe for his patience.

“I have done recordings at church before but not for my own productions. This was not an easy road but I thank my producer who has been very patient with me,” said Machetu.

Machetu grew up in Mbare and his love for music started whilst he was still young.

“I always knew that I wanted to sing ever since I was a little boy. Watching music videos on TV really motivated me and I wanted to be on the other side of the screen more than anything else,” he said.

Machetu says he is confident with his work and cannot wait to have feedback from people who listen to his music.

“I grew up in church and naturally I started singing there. It was this year that I decided to do my own production as a solo artist.

“I am looking forward to people hearing my music. Fellow gospel artists have already accepted me and they give me advice that I am grateful for,” said Machetu.
