Response to “Command Wheat could save country $100m”

There is a beauty that comes with hard work and independence. Other people will get to rely on you and consult you for expert solutions. We are trying to limit the rate at which we import things by maximising local production. Command Agriculture has been successful in doing that and we want to get to a point where we can produce beyond what’s sufficient for us so that we become the food basket of the continent. — @katherine4.

*** Response to “China despatches special envoy”

China is one of the largest economies of this world and it is exciting to know that the country wants to work with us intimately. We need such big economies as our allies so that we get their support. This is one of the critical requirements if we are to succeed. — @pam.

Response to “Mzembi comes out of ‘hiding’”

Being loyal to the one who appointed you is a matter of principle. Give him the Tourism Ministry he has potential to deliver. People are not interested in political factional fights, we just want a Government that moves our country forward and I think Mzembi is the right candidate in that ministry. — Murena Zvinoruka.

*** Response to “Zim should work with international investors”

We don’t want any barriers to foreign investment in this country. We cannot go anywhere without input of external countries into our economy. There will not be a need to increase our production significantly if there is no country out there that is willing to work with us. We are happy with the moves that are being made to re-engage our long lost friends. — Taropafadzwa Chofamba.

Response to “Mzembi’s wife files $100k defamation lawsuit”

Intentionally publishing information that will destroy someone’s reputation will definitely cost the offender. There is need to verify things before publishing. Nobody wants their reputation and their organisations to be ruined, especially the prominent ones because the impact will be huge on their operations. — Takudzwa Mazanhi.

*** Response to “Chombo case sucks in ex-Harare town planner”

Once a single person engaging in unlawful activities is exposed, everyone else linked to such crimes will be discovered. I bet Chiwanga knew what was coming his way. People in power should desist from involving themselves in corrupt activities because whenever they do it, they do it in a way that affects almost everyone. — Paida Nyeredi.

*** Response to “Aliens can vote, rules High Court”

Every Zimbabwean has a right to vote because we all play a critical role in the development of this country. If we are led by someone elected by the majority, there will be less friction and people will be willing to work together with their leader, which is important in building the nation. — Vongai Matema.

Response to “New twist to Mliswa, CBZ loan dispute”

These are the individuals who are killing the agricultural sector. They buy from desperate farmers for a song and then sell to Class A buyers. TIMB should not allow these individuals to the floors. They should create their own space and buy from there. Allowing them into the established floors leaves the farmer with no choice when it comes to meeting Class A buyers. — Investor.
