Response to “President swears in new Cabinet”

The statement by the President that he would hit the ground running is surely coming to manifestation. He has been busy emotionally and psychologically because Zimbabweans have high expectations and he has a lot of responsibilities. — @cheryl.

*** Response to “Crash claims 21, declared state of national disaster”

Records of road accidents always tend to increase as holidays approach. It has been discovered that most road accidents that occur are a result of human error. This shows that we have a critical role to play in preventing such tragedies. There is need for us to act more responsibly and be alert while on the road so that life is not lost during this time when families are supposed to be celebrating. — @progress56.

Response to “Criticism of President premature: Mutsvangwa”

True. The President needs time. Zimbabwe is not a tuckshop. Better days are coming. — Leo Zimondi Ziki.

*** Response to “Respect Zim’s diverse cultures”

This is so true. There are a lot of cultures in the country and yet some seem to be sidelined while others are exalted. This should never be the case, every Zimbabwean ought to be respected and recognised. It is time that we give equal treatment to all cultures within our country. There is beauty in embracing all the cultures we have as a nation. — Chiedza Shoniwa.

Response to “Staff College introduces degree in Defence and Security studies”

This indeed is a relevant programme especially considering our experiences as a country. We are still in shock that our soldiers stood by us and defended us in a way we never anticipated. Defence and security are critical for the smooth operation of the country so that we don’t lose resources we were blessed with. — Sheila Chagura.

*** Response to “MSU targets 60 000 students”

This target promotes progress in our communities therefore, it is good. However, there is need to revisit the amount of fees that are paid by students at universities. There are a lot of people who want to enrol for university but are hindered by lack of money. Fees should be affordable to the poor before that goal can be realised. — Tadiswa Chatonga.

*** Response to “Fake bank transfers land businessman behind bars”

It’s good that this criminal was caught. A lot of money was obviously lost through activities by this man. This is not something to be taken lightly because accessing money these days is not as easy as it used to be. The victims’ plans must have been greatly disturbed. — Martin Rugare.

Response to “FOR ALL THE ROMANCE AT ASCOT, PAUL MUNDANDI’S ABSENCE AT THE PARTY WAS SIMPLY UNBEARABLE”

The guy just loved sport. I remember the first time I saw him trying to convince a local community newspaper to print his athletics stories. He was an unknown entity then in Zvishavane, having just arrived. What struck me was the passion with which he spoke about the sport and his persistence. I wasn’t surprised when he made it, reporting soccer. His drive was just amazing. We sorely miss him. RIP. — Just Saying.

*** Paul was passionate about sport and football was part of his DNA. Sports writers should be inspired and be more objective in their analysis. — Mehluli.
