He will turn things around

- Isaiah 43 vs 16, 19; “Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters . . . Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the de

WHEREVER we live, we live within the realm of some economic activity that makes up the greater society that defines the places we call home. Often the economic issues that directly affect us are as a result of decisions that are beyond us yet they affect us in some way or the other.

In our attempt to tame the individual economy that affects us, we can sometimes be drawn into despair. We fret, groan and moan and before long our ability to hope, smile and look forward to the future is severely diminished. The day-to-day reality that we face slowly begins to take away our belief that GOD is in control.

We are somehow made to believe that the economy and its stewards are greater than GOD, yet the economy is one of many little things that fall under the ambit of GOD. In times gone by, it was common knowledge that there would be years of plenty and years of drought.

During the drought years, as unpleasant as they are, when we have less than we would want and we face extreme difficulty, we should always remember that the Lord is on His throne and He continues to reign.

Let us pray that He may tame the economy and that the years of drought may be shortened and the years of plenty may resume. Within that, let us remember to remain faithful and to never forget that God is in control and He will turn things around at the right time.

Be blessed.
