Response to “Economic cleansing process begins”

For the nation to keep developing, all retrogressive practices have to be completely eliminated. It is this indiscipline that has led to the weakening of our economy. Close monitoring should be done frequently so that people don’t get too comfortable and start straying. — @john.

*** Response to “9 months for domestic violence”

Stringent measures should be put in place to keep people away from committing crimes that deprive others of their rights. Nobody has the power to physically or emotionally inflict pain on another person. Everyone has to learn from the reports being made by the media. There is really no need to offend the law when it leads to inconveniences in the end. — @talentmzw.

Response to “Govt to extend amnesty on outstanding taxes”

This move will help businesses and people settle their outstanding debts. One lesson that has to be learnt is consistency. It is easier to pay your dues at the right time so that it doesn’t become burdensome after accumulating. There is no running away from paying taxes so it is better to just do so when it’s supposed to be done. — Tariro Muchenga.

*** Response to “BREAKING NEWS: Chipanga gets bail”

I’m sure the man has learnt his lessons and will not behave like he is on drugs ever again. There is a lot to be learnt and those who are wise now know how to play their cards. Don’t just say things that you cannot defend or stand by just to please someone who will abandon you. — Nyarie Sibanda.

Response to “Budget puts leash on Govt spending”

Developments that will affect the general populace are going to be very painful during the first phase, but we will start to enjoy their fruits if we endure. All that is needed is determination and focus. Let us all comply to things that will put the nation back on track. — Charlotte Mubaiwa.

*** Response to “$176m for civil servants bonuses”

We appreciate what the Government is doing to recognise and appreciate the work being done by civil servants.

Their working conditions are not the best thing one can put up with, but they try their best to adjust.

They deserve all the good things to keep them motivated otherwise everything will be put to a hold if they just decide to quit and this will affect the whole nation. — Batsirai Nyoni.

Response to “Moyo, Kasukuwere bank accounts frozen”

Kasukuwere (Saviour) and Moyo (Jonathan) have their issues, but I believe it’s prudent and confidence building if this exercise is cast wider and people who engage in corrupt activities are exposed & punished in line with the law.

The RBZ should highlight that activities such money-laundering can cause irreparable harm to our economy & can be used for insurgency purposes to destabilise the country.

It is actually dereliction of duty by RBZ and other arms of government who are supposed to curb such undesirable and criminal activities.

It is my view that more transparency is adopted and exhibited for the public to gain confidence with our governance systems. — Shumbasamaita.
