A 40-YEAR old man from Banket got an early Christmas present at the weekend when he won a brand new Mercedes Benz C Class in the Bakers Inn Buy and Win Promotion draw in Chinhoyi.

The Mashonaland West provincial draw also saw many people winning prizes such as deep freezers, LED TVs, solar geysers, gas stoves and cylinders and school fees vouchers.

The $1 million promotion sought to increase the brand’s visibility and boosting sales.

The main prize winner, Crispen Kacherera could not hide his joy when he received his car keys in front of multitudes of people at Gadzema bus rank.

“I want to thank God for this wonderful opportunity and special thanks goes to the Bakers Inn team for organising such a fantastic promotion,” he said.

“I am still in shock at the new development.

“This is now my second car after the Honda Fit I had some years back.”

Bakers Inn chief executive Mr Ngoni Mazango said the prizes were a token of appreciation for their loyal consumers.

He said the company was committed to making next year’s edition bigger and better.

“Two cars were won concurrently nationwide today (Saturday). The other one was won in Matebeleland North during our first day to conduct the draws. We thank all our partners for supporting us,” he said.

“As Bakers Inn, we are an essential service provider, we feel that we need to plough back to the community. We believe we are empowering our people as they are always supporting our brands through thick and thin.”

Mr Mazango said the competition was going to cascade to other provinces early next year.
