Never stop moving forward

-

We all wish and imagine that our lives would pan out like the fairy-tales that we grew up reading and watching. The stories all have a similar ending where people ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after.

For some reason life never quite turns out like that and for so many people they are left with bitterness and despair.

In this despair it’s so easy to get caught up in a vortex, this whirlwind where when one looks back at their life they are filled with more regret than pride. It’s so easy to be absorbed with feelings of regret and condemnation.

Against this backdrop of regret and guilt one can be so immersed in the problems associated with the past that they totally stop living. The reality though is that one should never stop dreaming.

It’s never too late to reach out and grab your destiny, regardless of the circumstances that have led you to where you are today. You never know just when that closed door in your life is going to be opened.

When you focus on the sad reality of what you see and the experiences that you have had to endure, this tends to distract you from the possibilities that tomorrow may have. Yes, today may be filled with pain and hopelessness but tomorrow you will look back and all these things will have been washed away.

After the death of her husband Ruth could have given up on life believing that she had nothing further to live for, but the Lord had other plans for her.

He ensured that despite the pain of her loss she would one day breathe again, find happiness, be remarried and be part of the bloodline that would one day bear the Messiah Jesus Christ.

You never know what tomorrow holds in store for you. Keep the faith.

Be blessed.
