Response to “The ZDF has today officially concluded Operation Restore Legacy and the ZRP will now resume their normal duties”

With all due respect, public faith has reached its lowest possible levels. The police need to be reminded of their duty to serve and protect, not to extort. —@ MusvipwaShaw.

*** I hope accidents and spikes won’t resurface. — @colunya.

*** Response to “President Mnangagwa off to a good start”

Given enough time and space, President Mnangagwa’s presidency will be great. — @Zimunzwah.

Response to “Editorial Comment: President Mnangagwa off to a good start”

President Mnangagwa has the potential to be the exceptional leader in Africa and even the entire world if he can fix the economy, curb corruption, create employment and revive agriculture. The President has already made a good start and I am sure he is going to win the next election.

*** Response to “Operation Restore Legacy ends”

That’s welcome news. Well done to the army and to the President! This gives hope for a more democratic Zimbabwe. We applaud the arrest of corrupt members of ZANU-PF and other people that were ruining the economy. — Tee Freshy.

I thank ZDF and General Chiwenga for a successful operation. Thank you for ushering us into a new dispensation. — Jane, Kambuzuma.

*** I hope the police has reformed as they return to our streets. We do not want to be extorted please. — Hamilton, Greendale.

*** Response to “Governing: People the only arbiters”

I agree with President Mnangagwa because the so-called levelling of the political playing field is not done only during the penultimate election moments, but more importantly, in periods well before the elections like now. When the MDCs are engaging some influential Western powers, saying whatever is in their bag, Zimbabwe should also know that this constitutes serious compromise. In short, Zimbabweans should watch all actions done by political parties (and not to watch only one party) and see how much each party is levelling that political playing field. Inviting sanctions when even those Western nations have promised to work with Zimbabwe under this new dispensation is a serious violation of the playing field and a very unfair act to the majority of the suffering Zimbabweans. — Kunta Kinte.

Response to “NGO, bank offers loans to poor communities”

Thumbs up to the bank called Agribank. The last financial year they posted a profit, meaning they are doing things right. Very good corporate governance and we are more than pleased with their financial inclusion policies for the marginalised. This is the bank people should consider banking with, a bank that considers their plight. — Mopao Mokonzi.

*** Response to “Zim, Botswana to ink MoUs”

It is good to first secure good relations with those who are closer to us before we think about going inter-continental. This is because they can easily relate to some of the challenges we might be facing and we can do the same. — Shingai Musonza.
