AUTHOR Abel Mavhura and musician Timothy Ngwenya are on could nine following their entry into the Zimbabwe top 40 influential Christians list of 2017.

Mavhura made it with his book “The Art of Realising Your Dream” that was released this year.

The list compiled by the Zimbabwe Christian Youth Alliance also has top personalities Walter Magaya and Emmanuel Makandiwa.

Mavhura thanked the community for their support saying the book is selling well.

“The book is selling like hot cakes and we are happy to be listed among the top cleric men in the country.

“It simply means the book is pushing volumes,” he said.

The 30-year-old author believes there is need to be passionate about everything.

“At the end of the day, only the strong will keep on fighting and give birth to their pregnant dreams.

“Purpose is the original intent for the creation of a person or the thing; the specific function of somebody or a thing,” he said.

He said the book was a true reflection of his life.

“To a greater extent it is a mirror that reflects my life journey testifying on all the success stories,” he said.

On another hand United Kingdom-based musician Ngwenya also celebrated his success.

Ngwenya who is basking in glory with his new album “Kutaura Kwavo” said he was happy to be part of the top list.

“I am happy that we are being recognised for our work. I am happy that God is doing wonders for us.

“As gospel musicians we get uplifted to make it to the list,” he said.

He said recognition was the best way of getting motivation.

Ngwenya has been hailed for his charity works in Chinhoyi and areas around the town.

He said he will continue doing God’s works and will be embarking on a massive tour in Zimbabwe next year.
