Response to “Cops banned from owning kombis”

They already have their vehicles in the system, how is the proposal going to be effective? - @chrismugwagw

*** Let`s hope they will improve the conditions of service such as salaries, pension and other benefits. Otherwise joining the force will not be worthwhile. - @O. Jeranyama

*** Response to “No to fresh farm occupations: Shiri”

Forestry should now fall under the Ministry of Agriculture. The forestry sector needs protection from artisanal mining and random land occupations. - @ TalkmoeMangun2

Response to “Cops banned from owning kombis”

Government doctors should also be banned from owning private surgeries and pharmacies because it would seem unfair to police officers to have restrictions to enterprise in isolation. - Malvin Gombwe

*** Let us be analytical here, imagine a constable having a kombi plying the same route he is a traffic officer on or a constable trying to check on a commissioner’s kombi. This only means even with dangerous tyres, it will still pass through a roadblock. They will try to disadvantage those owned by a civilians. Yes, the salary could do with some improvement but the cause of corruption is the lack of supervision. A roadblock used to resemble a garage with some vehicles spending close to sixhours because of a parking bulb. With no supervision, corruption became the order of the day. - Takawira Mupoperi

Good start by the police Acting Commissioner General Godfrey Matanga in ordering police officers not to own kombis. When someone is hungry they will always make plans around a thing. Don’t ban them from owning kombis and private transport business but if their kombis are caught offside they should be held accountable. - Solo, Harare

Response to “No to fresh farm occupations: Shiri”

If there is land hunger you can stop farm invasions by carrying out land audits and fixing farm sizes so that extra land realised from excessively bigger farms can be given to those without as A1/A2 farms. We read about Joseph Made’s farm which consisted of two or three farms joined into one. Land audits as started in Manicaland should unearth all the rot, no exceptions! - Truthhurts

*** Response to “The bloody reverse hate of a telling tribalist”

This is a befitting challenge and response to war mongers and rabble rousers like this Macaphulana guy. Macaphulana thinks he can scare Zimbabweans through his pen. He says “a monster” is ruling the country; the way mothers do when they want children to behave, “sleep now or else a monster is coming to eat you”.

No one is scared because everyone knows that this is no more than the vomit of a tribal midget with the self-esteem of a mosquito, a poor soul afflicted by both inferiority and perfect foolishness. There is no genocide coming in 2018 and there is no need to belabour that point. There will be no violence. Election 2018 will be free, fair and credible as promised by President Mnangagwa on more than one occasion now.
