Say thank you!

-

PHILIPPIANS 1 vs 3 (NIV) “I thank my God every time I remember you.” When was the last time you called the few people who make a difference in your life and told them how much you appreciate them? We often take for granted the relationships we have, but under exceptional circumstances we are sometimes brought to a place where it dawns on us that life would not be the same without them.

Proximity can sometimes bring about laxity, where we assume that things happen because they should, instead of acknowledging that the LORD has blessed us abundantly and has chosen the right people to form our inner circle. This includes our friends and family.

The ability to say, “thank you” and to have outward expressions of affection towards people, is something many people struggle with. Only when it is too late do they wish they could have said it.

GOD has placed all these human angels in our life; people we can laugh with, smile with, share special moments with, lean on, cry with, and fellowship with. We sometimes forget that GOD, in His wisdom, deliberately chose these individuals to be in our lives.

Imagine for a second how your life would have turned out without these special people. The LORD has given them to us and therefore we should not only express gratitude to Him in prayer for His mercies, but we should also make an effort to say the things we struggle to say, before it’s too late. What if today was your last day? Be blessed! REFLECTIONS OF A WORK IN PROGRESS ...
