Response to “Exports salvation to Zimbabwe’s economy” So long as we use the US dollar our exports can never be competitive. — @ gurure.

*** Response to “President Mnangagwa chairing traditional Monday briefing”

We hope the President was properly briefed about predatory price increases obtaining in the country. We also hope they came up with a solution. #pricesmustfall. — @ZCTU-Zimbabwe.

Response to “Harare splurges $10m on salaries” Guys let’s be serious. These are not obscene salaries. These, l believe, are modest salaries when we look at the cost of living in Zimbabwe.

In fact, how does a Government police officer survive on $400? These low salaries are a breeding ground for corruption. — Kimberly Mangwende.

*** Response to “Zimbabwe economic prospects bright, say experts”

We are not there yet. That potential should be transformed into reality and also it is possible for a country to prosper and have its people wallow in the mires of misery like the US under Obama which saw white people without a college degree (blue collar workers) continue to suffer resulting in the Frankenstein monster that is Trump. — Tinovaziva.

It is true that exports are a salvation to Zimbabwe’s economy. Our economy needs all alternatives otherwise things will never be good. Exports at large or small-scale should definitely be supported. — Tinotenda Gwarimba.

*** Tsvangirai’s retirement is a good move as leadership requires strength and capability. What he needs is time to rest until he gets back to his feet. I am sure Tsvangirai knows the country is in capable hands of President Mnangagwa. I wish him a steady and speedy recovery. — Kupakwashe Chaitwa.

*** Thank you for recognising that Beitbridge Border Post requires development. It is the busiest post in Zimbabwe and yet its infrastructure is bad. Let the development extend to Beitbridge-Harare road. Hopefully it will not take years for us to notice the changes. — Alfred Dube.

Responses to “Tsvangirai hints at retirement” Better he retires than have his former disciples discipline him, few are as wise as Mandela. — Zvobgo. *** He should retire. I have been saying so myself. He fought the good fight and it is time we saw something new from the MDC. — Tinovaziva.

*** Tsvangirai should hurry the process up and allow the party to choose its next leader as per constitution. If they delay this process and fail to campaign they will lose the election and not have adequate representation in Parliament. We do not want them to start crying that the election was not free and fair and calling for international “pressure” and then we have an economic stalemate in which no one wants to invest. People want progress and to stop worrying about politics every day. — Yowe.

*** Response to “Procurement Authority board appointed”

Hopefully this will make them more efficient and transparent. — Tinovaziva.

*** The same people who are freely donating blood are the same who are asked to pay for it when in need. This is unfair and obviously people will stop donating. Can something be done by Government? — Henry Dhliwayo.
