Spending Time with God

-

COLOSSIANS 4 vs 2

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.”

What we spend our time on is a true reflection of what we love. We devote our time to the things that we hold dear, that we deem important and that matter to us. Time is probably the single most important indicator of man’s heart.

In our daily hustle and bustle, very often we find ourselves with so much to do, but so little time. So in order to manage this precious resource, we carefully select to do the things that are worth our time.

Look at the way you spend your time. Does it show the world what you believe in? does it tell the story of your life? Do your favourite hobbies determine who you are? A lot of people spend very little time in prayer or in study of the word. They pay lip service to this very important facet in the distribution of their time. It’s not enough to only go to church for that one hour once a week.

It’s very easy to determine a person’s favourite football team during a conversation. The way they talk about it with passion reveals their strong love for it, with no doubt. What about your love for your Maker? Why not spend just a bit more time in pursuit of God and His ways? Demonstrate your love for Him by the way you spend your time. Be blessed!
