Response to “Chamisa confirmed MDC-T president”

Welcome to big time politics Mr Chamisa and with this appointment you now need to get mature fast and desist from lying to the electorate as it is now about big stakes. — @Elisha.

*** Response to “Be people-friendly, police urged”

The attitude of police officers must also change as they are always looking for loopholes to fleece the public of their hardearned money. The patrols must also be more of educative campaigns. — @Eliah.

*** Response to “City commissions waste equipment”

That is a good start. But how about potholes patching? Please attend to the one next to Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks along Borrowdale Road before a major accident happens. — @Elia. The Herald — Zimbabwe

Response to “Cholera scare in Kwekwe.”

The Ministry of Health and Child Care must intensify its effort to fight the outbreak that may occur. There are many qualified environmental health technicians, who are unemployed and they should be utilised in the fight against cholera. — John Neboth Tapedza.

*** Response to “Chamisa confirmed MDC-T president”

This is the end of MDC-T. Chamisa and company can play around all they want, but will not succeed in their futile efforts to arm twist Khupe, Moyo, Bhebhe and the Matabeleland region.

It is a done deal in Matabeleland. It is a given that the MDC-T vote is minus that of Matabeleland come announcement of national election results. This, I am willing to bet my last breath. — Nimrode Zimbudzana. SMS/WhatsApp: +263774111101

When it comes to the “jungle state” Harare is in, the first task would be to identify the worst culprits, who are refusing to comply with council by-laws and let the law take its course. A robust regime to collect taxes from vendors and kombi operators should be put in place.

These resources can then be managed to bring sanity and order in the affected areas. It is high time vendors and kombi operators pay a fair share of their income towards the upkeep of the environment in which they work and operate. — Dhakwa. www.herald.co.zw

Response to “Govt should address plight of students on industrial attachment”

The idea to say tertiary institutions rely on fees paid by students is true, but only for the services accessed by those students. So if I’m not receiving tutorials and lectures at the institution what is the point of making me pay for the full fees? I should pay for what I get. Is it not how this should work? Students are not being paid at the companies they are attached to at the same time are being exploited by their institutions. Surely Government should redress this issue. — Knowledge Venge. Response to “Chamisa confirmed MDC-T president”

The ZANU-PF machinery has been re-arranged and invigorated and this new leader in MDC-T has no chance to get to State House. President Mnangagwa is the current and next President. Chamisa should concentrate on uniting his party and try next time, not this time around. The nation is vibrating under a new dispensation towards economic recovery. The people can feel the coming change and have no reason to vote against ZANU-PF and its leadership. MDC-T will only continue to beat ZANU-PF in internal party violence and in leadership confusion. Let those with wisdom finish the work of rebuilding the economy. Who will vote for a young man who travels to the US to lobby for continued economic sanctions on the people of Zimbabwe? — Prof Mzvinavhu.
