DSTV steps up at Nama

LIZ Dziva, publicity and public relations manager for MultiChoic­e Zimbabwe, went on stage to present a trophy to one of the winners of the film and television categories at the recent Nama Awards, with the bonus gift from MultiChoic­e Zimbabwe of Explora decoders not only to that recipient, but also to each of the winners of awards in all film and TV categories.

Speaking afterwards, she said: “We were delighted to help recognise the success of these winners and stimulate further interest in film and television production­s from talented Zimbabwean film-makers.

This country has a wealth of such talent and the potential for growth in the production of films and television programmes is huge, and we are keen to do all we can to assist in realising this potential.”

Ms Dziva presented the award in the category Outstandin­g Screen Production, Full Length Film, the winning entry for which was Kushata Kwemoyo, directed by Shem Zemura.

Winners of Explora decoders also included Outstandin­g Actress Kudzai Msungo (in Muzita Rababa); Outstandin­g Actor Charles Muzemba (in Kushata Kwemoyo); Outstandin­g Music Video Over Again, produced by Vimbai Mukarati; Outstandin­g Screen Production (Television) Muzita Rababa, directed by Shem Zemura; Outstandin­g Screen Production — Short Film Ruvimbo’s Wedding, directed by Ben Mahaka.
