Subduing Kingdoms: Part 2

Reproduced below are excerpts of a sermon preached by Emmanuel Makandiwa on Sunday, 21 January 2018.

“WHO through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.” Hebrews 11:33 You have to understand that when you are within your territory given to you by God, you are very powerful. Even the devil knows that. There are two men in the Bible - Cain and Abel.

One was a keeper of livestock and the other was into farming crops. When Cain was angry and he wanted to destroy his own brother, he did not visit him in his flocks because as long as Abel was amongst his livestock, he had influence over that territory.

Cain invited his brother into the fields because he could not kill Abel in his area of domain. You need to understand that you cannot be killed in your territory. You will only die when you leave your place of dominance and enter into their territory.

You do not have to talk and behave like them because that is their territory and not yours. Abel was taken from his territory into the territory of the enemy and that is how he was killed.

If God created the place before you were there, it means that the place was already there even before you were formed physically. If you were formed before your place, where was God going to place you?

What gives you right to be created is the presence of your place which was already available before you were there. You cannot be on earth and be a vagabond.

You cannot be here without a place of your own because places were created before you were created. Actually, it was the place that cried for your creation asking God for somebody who could occupy it. There has to be your own territory on earth.

You cannot be created and wander continuously on earth until you grow old and die then go back before the Lord and tell him you could not find a place of your own. He will ask how were you created without your own territory because territories cried out for their inhabitants to be created.

There is your own territory on earth and you should not allow anybody to push you around and look down upon you. Whoever would want to push you around tell them that the earth belongs to us all and we can all fit.

You might not be in your space today, but you are on your way to your own space. Spending 17 years in the same place does not make it your own. It is not about the time you spent there.

There are such patient landlords who can give you 10-year leases to stay in their properties to an extent that your children born at that property are not even aware that you are not the owner.

It is not all about renting. Spending years in the same situation does not mean you belong there. Being in a particular situation for a very long time does not make it your situation.

According to what I have noticed, we are all born in wrong places. There are children that were born in Egypt by the Hebrews who were not Egyptians.

You can be born in a poor family, maybe surrounded by non-believers and murderers. All of your relatives might be crooked, but that does not make you an Egyptian.

When you are born in a place, you have to start discovering your God given space. Before you know the actual space, what comes first is the discomfort you experience in a wrong space.

Something tells you that you do not belong there. It is from that feeling that the journey begins. When God created you, there was an anointing inside of you for migration.

There are people that are called immigration officers that are paid to help people travel because when God created people, he embedded the spirit of migration within them. You were not created to live and die in one place; within us, God placed a spirit of migration.

Where we were before is not where we are supposed to be today. We have an anointing for mobility. Your problem is not permanent, when you begin to migrate you will come across people who will allow and qualify you to move into other territories.

If this physical realm appoints immigration officers to help people move from place to place, heaven can also do the same. If you want to migrate from a place you were born and grew up in, you approach a spiritual person in God’s Kingdom who will enable you to move.

You have to understand that you do not belong in one place. For you to move from one place into another, there is need for authorisation. If you exit a place without authorisation you will be labelled a border jumper.

If you are authorised to be in a place, no matter the threats you may face, you just have to know that authorities will protect you.

If you are in a foreign land, but authorised to be there by the local authorities and you are harassed in that territory, you have a right to report to the security services there and they will protect you.

If they authorised you to be there you have a right to access their security. If you are given a right by God to be in His Kingdom and things go wrong, you have every right to talk to any angel and tell him about your issues.

In the place that God has authorised you to be, you have a right to place a demand and ask Him for help. This could be the reason why most of your prayers are not really prayers because you lack such confidence when you are praying.

Some of you the way you pray you sound like you do not have a right; that is why 30 minutes into your prayer you are busy confessing before asking God for anything.

Most children of God are so miserable and yet they are in the kingdom of God. You have to understand that salvation is not complicated. Jesus does not just forgive the sins you have confessed, but even the ones you have forgotten about He can still forgive you.

The Bible tells us that His blood cleanses us, which means it is washing us continuously every day. It is like we are living our lives in a washing machine whereby every sin you commit is washed away because you are now in His Kingdom.

It is important to know this because most people have lost confidence. Salvation is supposed to be the simplest doctrine and yet most people do not know how to access it.

The Bible in the book of Romans teaches us that if you confess the Lord Jesus you will be saved, not confessing sins.
