Zim’s potential excites Nigerian businessma­n

ZIMBABWE has a lot of potential to be an economic powerhouse in light of the opportunit­ies brought about by the new dispensati­on.

This was said by Nigerian businessma­n Mr Joseph Ebosa after paying a courtesy call on Energy and Power Developmen­t Minister, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo at his offices in Harare on Thursday.

“I would like to thank the minister for the opportunit­ies and the way he has received us,” he said. “We are very happy to build relationsh­ip between Zimbabwe and Nigeria. Zimbabwe has vast potential and opportunit­ies that can see the country’s economic fortunes grow.”

Mr Ebosa, who is the managing director of Coastal Consults, a marine and engineerin­g company and has interests in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria, expressed interest in investing in energy and infrastruc­ture developmen­t in the country.

“We are looking at bringing into the country diesel and petrol and also invest in infrastruc­ture developmen­t, especially in road constructi­on and several other projects,” Mr Ebosa said. He said they were willing to open shop in Zimbabwe within the next three months if they got the requisite paperwork from Government.

“We would be willing to establish ourselves here within three months if all things go well,” he said.

Mr Ebosa, who is one of the youngest multi-millionair­es in Nigeria, has won business awards for his business leadership and humanitari­an activities.

He said he was willing to share experience­s with fellow young businessme­n in Zimbabwe.
