Zim’s potential excites Nigerian businessman
ZIMBABWE has a lot of potential to be an economic powerhouse in light of the opportunities brought about by the new dispensation.
This was said by Nigerian businessman Mr Joseph Ebosa after paying a courtesy call on Energy and Power Development Minister, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo at his offices in Harare on Thursday.
“I would like to thank the minister for the opportunities and the way he has received us,” he said. “We are very happy to build relationship between Zimbabwe and Nigeria. Zimbabwe has vast potential and opportunities that can see the country’s economic fortunes grow.”
Mr Ebosa, who is the managing director of Coastal Consults, a marine and engineering company and has interests in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria, expressed interest in investing in energy and infrastructure development in the country.
“We are looking at bringing into the country diesel and petrol and also invest in infrastructure development, especially in road construction and several other projects,” Mr Ebosa said. He said they were willing to open shop in Zimbabwe within the next three months if they got the requisite paperwork from Government.
“We would be willing to establish ourselves here within three months if all things go well,” he said.
Mr Ebosa, who is one of the youngest multi-millionaires in Nigeria, has won business awards for his business leadership and humanitarian activities.
He said he was willing to share experiences with fellow young businessmen in Zimbabwe.
