Chief Njelele hails Matemadand­a

CHIEF Njelele of Gokwe has hailed ZANU-PF Secretary for War Veterans Cde Victor Matemadand­a for his commitment in pushing for developmen­t in the area.

In an interview last week, Chief Njelele said Cde Matemadand­a was fostering several developmen­tal projects in the area.

“Last month we had people who wanted to evict settlers from Mapfungaut­si Forest and Ngondoma Village, but he stood his ground and negotiated with authoritie­s,” he said.

Chief Njelele said it was important that business people and politician­s enhanced developmen­t in Gokwe.

“He has done well in making sure that people enjoy peace of mind,” he said.

“We want to thank the President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa, for considerin­g us the people of Gokwe by appointing Cde Matemadand­a as a Politburo member,” he said.

Chief Njelele said he had since engaged Cde Matemadand­a to foster the developmen­t of infrastruc­ture projects that give locals employment and improve education in their area.

“He told us that he will ensure that all will be solved,” he said.

“He told us that President Mnangagwa was a man who wanted investors in the country and he will take advantage of that to have some establishe­d companies to invest in Gokwe.”

In a separate interview, Cde Matemadand­a said he was born and bred in Gokwe and he would continue to work towards the developmen­t of the district and Midlands Province.

“We have set up a number of projects for Gokwe South because gone are the days when our people become a source of social memes,” he said.

“I am happy the people have agreed to be united and vote for ZANU-PF that will bring them developmen­t.”

Cde Matemadand­a said several developmen­tal projects had since been lined up.
