Zanu PF embarks on cell verification
ZANU-PF has embarked on a cell verification exercise here to ensure ruling party members in the district are aware of polling stations where they will cast their ballots in the primary elections on Sunday. The cell verification blitz ends today. ZANU-PF provincial secretary for Commissariat Cde Jevas Masosota said the verification exercise was also aimed at taking stock of the actual number of ZANU-PF members in every constituency.
‘’The ongoing cell verification programme is a party programme,” he said. “We want to make sure that all the members who are in cell registers are actual voters.
“We also want to establish whether any of our members that might have not have registered as voters ahead of the coming elections so that we get them to register.”
Cde Masosota said the programme was part of the revolutionary party’s restructuring exercise aimed at assessing the state of the party ahead of general elections.
He urged ZANU-PF supporters who have not yet registered to vote under the Biometric Voter Registration system to do so.
“Voter registration has not yet been closed, we still encourage our party supporters who have not yet registered to do so for ZANU-PF and our presidential candidate President Mnangagwa to win resoundingly,” said Cde Masosota.
