Response to “First Lady launches HPV vaccination programme” Thank God it is here. Young women will benefit from this for sure. — @nyix4460. *** It’s about time. Cervical cancer is real. It’s a positive move that she is raising awareness on this issue. — @tdanga77. *** Responses to “Morning-after pill use surges, says ZNFPC” Our children need help for the sake of their future. Our children must be trained before they get to college age, they should be afraid of God and their future rather than be afraid of pregnancy or HIV infection. — @PeterMatemba.

Response to “Council’s solar lights

project falls short” There is nothing right that comes out of MDC. They are not organised and chaotic. The council is a living testimony of this failure. We don’t even remember the last time we had safe drinking water. And now the solar lights project has also failed. What their president is good at is saying spaghetti this, bullet train that. Maybe it’s time the MDC hangs its boots in politics. — Darlington P Munyuki.

*** Response to “Two in a row

for DeMbare” This is a good sign for the Glamour Boys. There is hope. It was now embarrassing to call yourself a DeMbare supporter. I literally had to hide my regalia in a closet. This is the team we love and support, welcome back. — Hilary Moyo.

The primaries should at least convince people that ZANU-PF is changing. A new dispensation has new faces and new ideas also. A new President, new ministers, new MPs, new policies, new ideas and new economy should be the hallmark of our Government and the country under ZANU-PF. Of course, some old and seasoned faces will remain in Government to give the necessary balance for continuity and change management for our revolution. — Cde Mzvinavhu.

Response to “ZANU-PF primary poll winners list out” Wonderful news for a change. A person who cannot implement change for more than three decades should leave the party. — Chamunorwa.

*** President Mnangagwa is the man. He knew there were lots of turncoats in the current dispensation so he made sure the primaries were fair so that these turncoats could be thrown out by the people. — Mhofu Chaiyo.

*** Response to “ED condemns use of

police in party polls” These are admirable sentiments and statements issued by President Mnangagwa. The behaviour of police and security forces should change. They seem ignorant of their circumscribed legal mandate and their duties towards citizens’ rights and freedoms under the new Constitution. The President’s Office can therefore start by issuing a circular to all police and security forces to remind them of their restricted roles in any elections. And, in time for 2018 polls, they must also enforce a mandatory refresher course for all security forces on citizens rights. Ignorance of the Constitution by police and security forces cannot be used as an excuse especially for the forthcoming 2018 elections! — Simbai.

*** Response to “Govt begins rural road rehabilitation” Long overdue. That is necessary considering that many rural roads are impassable. Whilst at it, Government should also look at infrastructure like bridges. In most areas, the existing bridges pose danger to road users and in some areas there are no bridges at all. — Tiriparwendo.
