Responses to “First Lady vows to assist sexually harassed students”

Yes, female tertiary students need assistance because sexual harassment in institutions is rampant. They are usually taken advantage of by both lecturers and male students. It needs to stop. — @WillardChoe.

Students do not need assistance from sexual harassment only, but malpractices going on. Institutions need to understand that students are stakeholders, hence deserve better treatment. — @LizzyMunyuki.

Response to “Elections are ZEC, not ZRP’s mandate: Chigumba”

Good step towards free and fair elections especially in rural areas. The neighbourhood watch police must not be seen at the polling stations like before. ZEC should do the work they are mandated to. — Prosper Nyamayaro.

Response to “Let’s welcome observers — ED”

Why not, we are in a new Zimbabwe. Let them come and witness the new goodness of this country. We embrace the democracy and the leadership we have. Free and fair elections are what we are going to have. If the observers are here we would want to hear what the MDC who always sing the rigging song will have to say after they lose. —Makanaka Shongwe.

A lot had been said about Zimbabwe in the past few years. I am glad that the President is determined to change things. Now we have the feel of democracy that was recently seen in the ZANU-PF primaries. Welcoming observers from all the countries also paints a different picture of Zimbabwe. The President is doing a good job and leading by example. — Mari Nyika.

The primaries should at least convince people that ZANU-PF is changing. A new dispensation has new faces and new ideas also. A new President, new ministers, new MPs, new policies, new ideas and new economy should be the hallmark of our Government and the country under ZANU-PF. Of course, some old and seasoned faces will remain in Government to give the necessary balance for continuity and change management for our revolution. — Cde Mzvinavhu.

Mapfumo deserves the freedom of the city award. The man has come a long way and he is still going. Upcoming musicians have a lot to learn from this legend. — Mutariri.

Response to “Payment for tobacco farmers needs to be prioritised”

Most of the foreign currency generated by the Tobacco sales and other industries is converted into RTGs and Bond note which is international money laundering. This is the conversion of foreign currency and converting it into none exchangeable currency called Bond notes that cannot be used outside of Zimbabwe. For the past two years or more we have had that same problem. The activity has been sinking the economy and it still does. It needs to stop. — Pianki.
