@HeraldZimbabwe Response to “Economy goes 96pc cashless: Chinamasa” Is this a bad or good sign? Does it mean Zimbabwe has embraced plastic money or authorities have failed to solve the cash problem? — @Kalabashmedia. *** Response to “Tobacco exports rake in $360m” Well done farmers, smart agriculture is waiting for you. We no longer want to destroy our environment by using tree logs to cure tobacco. — @JusticeMurapa. *** Response to “ZANU-PF pins hopes on
re-engagement” Zimbabwe’s problems must be solved in Zimbabwe and not in Britain. Chamisa is taking opposition politics too far. Why do they always want fellow Zimbabweans to be punished for them to get into power? They have put most people off. ED has my vote now. — @Zim1. The Herald — Zimbabwe Response to “Heads to roll
in Cabinet, says ED” I think our President must be commended since he took over. I want to believe every Zimbabwean breathed a sigh of relief somehow. People can now openly criticise or compliment him without fear, something some of us could not attempt in the last era. My plea to fellow Zimbabweans is to forward constructive criticism to our listening President. He has done well so far to revitalise the country within a short period of time. — James Mhandazviru.
*** Response to “Non-performing para
statals to go: Chiwenga” Well said Vice President Chiwenga. The Zimbabwe of 1980 cannot be compared with the Zimbabwe of today. Most officials both in parastatals and Government were being elevated and promoted to positions not because of their capabilities, but to fill vacancies left by departing whites. Most people have been watching some of the failures with disappointment. It’s better to have a few people who are hardworking than to have many who are corrupt. That’s the Zimbabwe we want. Lest we forget that many deserving individuals sacrificed their lives for Zimbabwe. — Miriam Nyika. SMS/ WhatsApp: +263774111101
A lot has been happening at Zimra. Millions have been lost. It needs restructuring or Government should do away with the parastatal and go back to full control of these former departments. Corruption has worsened the situation. There is a lot of nepotism at Zimra. How can a parastatal have 200 managers? We need a small, competent management structure. We demand to know how many millions have been lost. — Themba M. www. herald.co. zw Response to “One pupil killed, 12
injured in kombi crash” I hope the police and courts will show absolutely no mercy when dealing with this particular driver! The sentence should be the harshest permissible under the law to set a precedent. — Hang him high.
*** My heart goes out to the loved ones or parents of the deceased high school student. Kombi drivers are a menace. Even when a passenger warns them to drive with due care and without speeding, they never listen. This is disheartening. This kombi driver should be locked up. — Mimi.
*** Response to “Economy goes 96pc
cashless: Chinamasa” It’s by default that we have embraced e-banking. We simply do not have a choice as we cannot access cash from banks. However, the funny thing is at Roadport and Copacabana you will find crispy Bond notes! Yes, e-banking is the way to go, but I should also be able to access cash from the bank and not from the road! — Chibaba Chacho.
