In His time

-

Lamentations 3 vs 25 - 26; “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

HOW do we measure time? Many years ago I prayed for a specific outcome to occur but as the years went by, I soon forgot about the thing I had prayed for. A few weeks ago as my mind was fleeting between many outcomes, it hit me that GOD had actually answered my prayer.

With the passage of time and activity, I somehow lost track. It took a specific event for me to pray the prayer again, only to realize that over time the LORD had answered. My prayer was not answered at the time when I wanted it to be answered, it took longer than I anticipated and I got caught up with all of life’s other issues.

So often we think that GOD has not heard us so we give up on our prayer requests and become frustrated in the process. Yet if you take a close look at all the events in your life, it is the answer to one big prayer. GOD uses many mediums, people, and events, some painful but ultimately all of them are aimed at directing His righteous in a particular course. Events that would ordinarily be of no significance suddenly begin to paint a picture of a GOD who is in charge and is directing events.

It could be that chance encounter with someone who changes your life, the delay that made you miss your ride and ultimately saved your life, even the heartbreak that turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to you. The Lord brings all these things together to answer your prayers.

Think about where you are today. Wherever you may be, be it a happy place or a sad place, GOD is slowly taking you to the place of answered prayers. When you look back one day you will see the picture of a loving father who made everything happen His way.

Be blessed.
