ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Bak Logistics

-

THE senior management team at Bak Logistics are proud to announce that we were successful in the transition of our Quality Management System to ZWS ISO 9001:2015 and attained certification in April 2018.

The transition process took a lot of hard work and much dedication as it included the development of the system in Premier Forklifts and Key Logistics that had not been previously certified.

Teamwork and perseverance from a development team led by Bak Logistics SHEQ Manager Shuvai Mundia and guidance from Premier Link Services Consultancy resulted in certification by the Standards Association of Zimbabwe after a five month period comprising of two audits and the subsequent correcting of issues that had been raised within the three companies.

Benefits of ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Bak Logistics

i) Risk Based Approach that enables the business to be up to date and control current risks that could affect the continuity of the business and thereby promoting continual improvement.

ii) Enables the business to put our customers and clients first and to ensure that we meet their needs and requirements thereby enhancing their continual satisfaction.

iii) Because of our vision as a business to expand into more markets in the region and beyond, the new certification enables us to tap into those markets as most potential clients require this current certification.

iv) It also gives the interested parties associated with Bak Logistics the confidence that as a business we are offering quality service and products to all involved.

Looking into the future:

The company, in line with the TSL Group’s drive to adopt international standards is currently developing an Environmental Management System guided by the ZWS ISO 14001: 2015 standard requirements. This will enable the business to address the planet pillar of sustainability and thus operating and acting responsibly in terms of environmental stewardship.

Plans are also there to develop a more vibrant Occupational Health and Safety Management System under the ZWS ISO 45001: 2018 standard as soon as ISO 14001: 2015 certification is attained.
