Triangle . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Versatile captain Ralph Kawondera opened the scoring inside the opening six minutes with a big error from Shabanie goalkeeper Petros Moyo gifting the home side an early lead.

Barely a minute later Triangle kingpin Nhamo Lameck was fouled inside the box and referee Munyaradzi Majoni had no option but to point to the spot before Lameck dusted himself off to coolly score Triangle’s second in the seventh minute.

The hosts then controlled proceedings with young prospect Anelka Chivandire dominating the midfield in the absence of veteran Pasca Manhanga who was relegated to the bench.

Triangle finished off the match as a contest when a quick and clever onetwo between Lameck and Chivandire set up Bamusi who made no mistake from the acute angle scoring Triangle’s third with just 23 minutes on the clock.

Lameck was again the architect but it was Bamusi who had the final assist as on-fire striker Collins Dhuwa added misery to his former side scoring the fourth goal in the 33rd minute much to the delight of the home fans.

Shabanie Mine approached the second half more determined but their best chance in the match came in the 58th minute, Fredrick Muza beat an offside trap but failed to convert driving his effort just inches wide when it was much easier to score than to miss.

Triangle looked like they were going to score with every shot at goal and did so when substitute Delic Murimba piled the misery on the visitors in the 81st minute.

Yesterday’s win was also sweet revenge for Triangle who were humbled by Shabanie at Mandava in the reverse fixture.

An excited Taurai Mangwiro said he was now shifting his attention to a much tougher test against Ngezi Platinum away.

“Sweet victory for Triangle, we needed this kind of a start tough luck to my boy Alexio (Sigion Shabanie coach), it’s baptism of fire for him. It was a very difficult for them but he should not despair. They improved a lot in the second half but still we managed to add one more goal.

“We are facing yet another tough encounter against Ngezi, they might have lost four on the trot but that doesn’t make them a bad team because every team goes through grey patches and we need to concentrate more on our game.

“If we can go there and grind a positive result then we know we are within and there will be everything to fight for,” Mangiwro said.

New Shabanie coach Alexio Sigion was dejected after the loss but took some few positives from the game as they look forward to fight relegation.

“We are still trying to make up a team, we are not even able to make up an eighteen-man squad. Loss of two key players Joe Nyabinde and David Temwanjira is somehow felt because we even travelled with fifteen players of which two are injured and just sitting on the bench but I still believe we can overcome this loss in our next match.”
