Launching online mobile securities trading: C-Trade

-

WITH the launch of the online mobile securities trading now scheduled for the 16th of July 2018, make a date with us when we set yet another mark for Zimbabwe’s capital market.

Cutting across the nation - In an effort to promote financial inclusion by encouraging the participation of the general investing public on the Zimbabwe securities market. With the majority (about 70%) of the Zimbabwean adult population residing in rural areas, stock market trading is envisaged to expand nationwide. C-Trade is set to make capital market access possible for every interested Zimbabwean from Kanyemba to Beitbridge and from Matetsi to Chimanimani.

With the country’s high digital finance penetration levels, online securities trading has the potential to reach all corners of the country.

Leaping beyond borders - Complementary to capital market financial inclusion efforts to make securities market investments accessible to the majority of Zimbabweans, C-Trade has been designed to go beyond borders.

With a significant proportion of Zimbabweans (about 2 – 3 million) now residing in the Diaspora, online trading is breaking existing geographical boundaries by enhancing securities market access for all non-resident Zimbabweans.

Ease of doing business for the market – The general securities market set up often tends to have limited reach to remote areas and non-resident nationals. In this regard, capital market products, services and activity largely tends to be concentrated in the capital cities mainly due to high cost of doing business.

It often becomes difficult and expensive to expand investor outreach at an affordable cost and in an efficient manner. The Commission appreciates the introduction of C-Trade onto the market as it ushers in the ease of doing business.

This ultimately means that investors and market intermediaries are now virtually side by side.

So don’t wait any longer, download the C-Trade application and get in touch with the Securities Dealer of your choice and start trading, don’t be left out.

Stay tuned until next week
