Villagers hail investment drive

- Mash West Bureau

VILLAGERS in Mhondoro-Ngezi have hailed President Mnangagwa for bringing more investors in the mineral rich district of Mashonaland West province.

The Head of State and Government is expected to officially commission the $4,2 billion Karo Resources platinum mine venture that is expected to transform the lives of people in Mhondoro.

The Karo Resources venture will be the second major platinum project in the district after Zimplats.

However, according to Zanu-PF House of Assembly candidate for Mhondoro-NGezi Cde Tavengwa Mukuhlani these mining ventures can only reach fruition when people vote for President Mnangagwa in the July 30 harmonised elections.

Addressing various campaign rallies in Mhondoro-Ngezi recently, Cde Mukuhlani urged the villagers to vote and ensure a resounding victory for President Mnangagwa.

“Even if you vote me as your son and abandon the President you would have made the situation difficult for Zanu-PF legislators.

“On July 30, you start by voting for President Mnangagwa, then you vote for the MP and then the councillors,” he said.

Cde Mukuhlani said voting for President Mnangagwa ensures that he works hard to bring more development to the area.

“President vedu vanobata basa varikushanda zvakasimba. Ndakaona (Nelson) Chamisa achichovha bhasikoro kuChiredzi iye aida kuti vanhu vafunge kuti akafanana navo handiti, ndikati Chamisa is very funny. Vanhu ava vanotodawo mota nekuti mabhasaikoro vagara vanawo.”

He also castigated the MDC Alliance leader for lying to the electorate when he has done nothing for the people of Zimbabwe.
