Response to “Tobacco sales rake $719m” Good news, the only problem is that as farmers we are being treated unfairly compared to informal miners who get payment in US dollars and we are getting bank transfers yet we work hard and do our things formally. We contribute a lot to this economy. — @welliekaleso02. *** Response to “Malema ‘schools’ MDC-Alliance” I personally think Malema can actually school Chamisa because experience taught him political maturity. He is also a vibrant politician who has made a name for himself despite his failures. — @marvmara. *** Response to “Reports of military beatings, abductions false: SB Moyo” I think people are making these up to tarnish the image of the army. — @ KuraiMuza.

Response to “Tentative date set for inauguration” We are moving forward and we don’t have time for those who are clinging on to the past. Some of us are now waiting for more ground-breaking events to be done so that industries are resuscitated. All the best ED, remember you have more than the voting population behind your back! Together Zimbabwe will never be the same again. — Sharon Zimbe.

*** Response to “ZRP, ZDF

condemn violence” The people who were involved in last week’s violence should be harshly dealt with to set an example. They have cost this nation a lot, they should be arrested. — Paul Nhaka. *** Response to “World congratulates ED, Zim” Our President has charmed everyone including the international community. He is the new face of ZANU-PF and with him I have a feeling that this country will never be the same again. After inauguration, work begins, watch this space! — Farai Chikomba.

I think the opposition parties have a lot to learn from ZANU-PF. The party takes politics seriously and never settles for less. They are dedicated and keep improving by the day. From what I have noticed, experience is the best winner. President Mnangagwa from his time in politics knows that maturity wins the heart, he listens a lot and talks less. He knows what the people want and he gives it to them. You can’t sell the idea of bullet trains to rural people, but can sell the idea of boosting agriculture. Learn opposition parties learn. — Rodrick Shamhu.

Responses to “World congratulates ED, Zim” The world came and the world monitored our elections and now the world has spoken. It’s time to move on as a country, burying our unbridled egos for the sake of Zimbabwe. — Gilbert Bere.

*** But how could I vote Chamisa for president and a ZANU-PF member for MP? For me it’s totally self-contradictory. — Ezekiel.

*** Responses to “Chamisa

clutching at straws” Chamisa must just grow up. The poor get food stamps and farmers receive State subsidies in the USA. It’s also undeniable that US illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe at the instigation of the unpatriotic and opportunistic MDC decimated our economy and tilted the field in favour of the MDC and that’s why jobless and suffering urban residents voted overwhelmingly for Chamisa. — Tinoziwa.
