Response to “Govt unveils online
diamond sales system” This initiative should be taken further; diamonds can be sold without moving the actual asset. All that is needed is an independent auditor who can verify that the stones are in storage. We can innovate and issue a cryptocurrency pegged to the value of diamonds. — @VicfallsC.
*** Response to “Supreme Court allows
water disconnections” Finally! People can’t enjoy a resource that costs the City of Harare money to purify, pump and supply without paying for it. — @tawandadealer.
*** This is big! It should allow the City of Harare to securitise revenues and tap into municipal bond market or introduce prepaid meters. Council still needs to ensure disconnected homes have alternative access to water or risk more typhoid and cholera. — @altgoronga.

Response to “Let’s focus on economy, says VP Chiwenga” What needs to be done first is closing money markets across the country. As it stands there is a lot of cash in the streets than anywhere else. If money changers can be prosecuted, the road to our economic recovery will be certain. — Marlon Shiri. *** Response to “No to illegal farm occupations: Shiri” The arm of the law should catch up with illegal farm occupiers regardless of status. It can’t be that the Government is saying one thing for the benefit of everyone and some people are defying that for their personal gain. Let’s us all do things by the book. — Kundai Lunga.

Cancer is claiming lives and it is sad that the fight against it is tougher than most diseases.
All stakeholders should work hand in glove in fighting cancer. Inadequate cancer diagnostics and treatment facilities may be the biggest challenge for now and that should be addressed to reduce the number of people dying of cancer. — Fungai Gureva.
*** Response to “Govt fires Zimra board” I assume that was triggered by corrupt deeds at Zimra. A lot had been said and it’s a good thing that the Government seems not to be taking corruption lightly. I don’t think anyone will miss the old Zimra board.
We hope to see the new board and hopefully they will know what to do. No to corruption! — Simbarashe Chinyoka. www.herald.co.zw Response to “We’ll not raid FCAs, minister reassures depositors” The new Minister seems to be very progressive and experienced such that it is upon us as Zimbabweans to support his efforts if we all cherish a better future for our beloved country. We should support his efforts morally and in attitude. — Kunta Kinte.
*** Response to “Govt fast-tracks
arrears clearance” Clearing debts is good. Once we are out of debt we should try by all means to minimise or stay out of debt. — Sheep.
*** Response to “Supreme Court allows
water disconnections” It’s a very bitter one, but if citizens can’t be responsible by paying their water bills then in all honesty how can they expect to get treated water? The reality is it costs money to provide clean water, meaning people should pay for it. Treated water can’t be free. — Tawanda Machona.
