@HeraldZimbabwe Response to “Price madness: Govt intervenes” The people’s Government should exercise its mandate and protect the public from profiteers and financial sharks. Good move. Kudos to ZANU-PF. — @bevanmusoko1. *** Response to “Performance-based contracts for perm secs” Way to go, even ministers should be on same contracts. — @alexnedzy. *** Response to “Tough terms for rapists: ED” We should also have tough terms for black market, money changers, and bank executives dispensing the cash. Fidelity Printers must be looked at too. — @ CdeNMaswerasei. The Herald — Zimbabwe Response to “Women eye PG’s post” This makes a lot of sense, especially the fact that female magistrates played a big role in reducing rape by giving rapists stiffer sentences. I would go for that one. Women are better placed to deal with gender-based violence issues than men. Men have proved to be incompetent in this role. Let’s have a woman, especially the magistrate who in years gone by single-handedly reduced rape. I have forgotten her name, but she must now be having a non-frontline role in the Ministry of Justice. — Joseph Dariko.

*** Response to “Performance-based

contracts for perm secs.” This can keep permanent secretaries on their toes. They must know that they have to deliver to stay in office. I think this strategy should be used in many departments. It can help inculcate a spirit of hard work among our people. Some of these people relax once they get into office. — Panashe Mukana. *** Response to “Producers speak on panic buying” Unscrupulous businesspeople charging exorbitant prices should be dealt with or lose their operating licences. What is the reason for hiking prices if producers have not increased prices? We should not tolerate that behaviour. — Tiriparwendo. SMS/WhatsApp: +263774111101

The opposition has and will always thrive on people’s suffering. It is a wellknown fact that these are people who went to the US to insist on the imposition of illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe despite the fact that Zimbabwe is now under a new administration that is working hard to transform the economy. It is sad that opposition supporters do not realise the damage being caused by their leaders. We are all citizens of this nation first, and we should put Zimbabwe above political affiliation. Elections are behind us and we all need to work together and rebuild Zimbabwe. — Bodo. www.herald.co.zw

Response to “Price madness: Govt intervenes” Close down these saboteurs! They have no place in business. They have deliberately put the economy in a tailspin! The sell-outs have created hell for us when ED is trying to make things better. They have taken advantage of the freedom that does not even exist in Western countries to create chaos on the local market. Sanctions remain in place and are being synchronised to work hand-inglove with the destabilisation acts of the sellout business community just to show SA and Namibia what happens when land reforms are carried out against Western interests. — Truthhurts.

*** Unleash the ZRP and municipal police to invade the city shops vendors-style and arrest these culprits. We should be comfortable with a situation of stock-outs using Bond notes than to have rapid price increases hiding behind forex rates, including non- imports. — Eliah.
