There’s no evil in me

-

John 14:30 Amplified; I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. (He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.)

JESUS spoke to His disciples (by application to us believers as well) towards the end of His earthly ministry. Not to be intimidated and struck with fear, we have to know that until the end of time, Satan is here on earth.

He roams on the earth to scuttle divine plan. 1 Peter 5:8 teaches us, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

We know Satan’s schemes and we deal with him decisively. We focus on God and the devil finds no place to scatter our plans. James 4:7 equips us, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

As believers we live in confidence. Christ is in us and therefore we live in certainty. As grace believers we know that we’re in Christ and will not be shaken by demonic threats. While Jesus acknowledged the existence of Satan, He clears any fear because there’s nothing of the devil in Him.

Jesus who has nothing of the devil in Him is now in us as our Lord and Saviour.

We therefore have nothing of the devil in us. We’re not troubled by illusions of generational curses.

We accept our salvation and partake of the benefits.

Your prayer: Father I thank you for revealing the truth to me. Because of the knowledge I live in confidence. I therefore don’t fear but overcome and thwart all evil threats in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Your Confessions: I live in knowledge. I am not ignorant of the schemes of the devil. I have the spirit of discernment. I prevail over demonic threats.

There’s no evil in me.
