Response to “President ED . . . My administration is radically redefining the education sector and various spheres of the economy.” While this is good, the President needs to look at rising fees in schools, colleges and universities at a time when no one has had a salary increment. — @morenah2023. *** Thank you, we need more effort in dealing with the state of the economy. —@ ChrisMuks33. *** Responses to, “UPDATED: Pambuka, Maziwisa jailed six years” The wheels of justice are slowly turning and when they gather momentum those who were enjoying fruits of ill-gotten wealth will find their day at the courts on their way to Chikurubi. The anti-corruption drive is now bearing fruits. — @ Elijah Chihota.

Responses to “Government will sympathise with fleeced home-seekers” This is a welcome development. Not just watching while councils are razing people’s properties. Things are tough and people are sweating to build even two bedroomed cottages. — Edson Mabibi. *** What about the land barons? I thought they were known. They should be tried and be incarcerated. — Walter Kudzie Chinyanga. *** Response to, “State of the economy and way forward” Well articulated, but will we walk the talk? We need to walk the talk, build professionalism and engage internally. Basic fundamentals must be respected and adhered to. — Ziyabheda.
*** Response to, “Suspended RBZ
director in the dock” This amply demonstrates Government’s commitment to fighting the scourge of corruption, no matter who is involved. The wheels of justice may turn slowly, but they are definitely turning in President ED’s anti-corruption drive. — Bevan Musoko.
*** The arrest and incarceration of the two is a welcome move in the fight against corruption. We must not leave big criminals too. I applaud the Government for this. When we fight corruption, we grow as a nation. — The Sage.

Response to, “First Lady’s treat for Kenyemba” Bravo to the First Lady for recognising the needy people. If we could have more people who are generous like the First Lady, the disadvantaged who are in need of genuine help would benefit. — Mukundi Chiringa.
*** Looking at the level of poverty in this country, it is clear that we need donations here and there. I have come to realise that the spirit of giving and volunteering isn’t in us. We need to support those less privileged in society no matter what their situations are. This is commendable, as long as no one is trying to gain political mileage out of it. — Chasara.

Responses to, “Relief for victims of
land barons” Arrest all land barons first please so that people can have confidence in this move by the Government. Corruption has no place in any thriving society. — KK.
*** The Government should rescue those who were duped. If they were settled on wetlands, then the land barons should be arrested and victims compensated. In areas like Caledonia and Harare South, it’s a good idea for Government to ensure they have safe water and electricity. — Gakangoma77.
*** But we continue to see more land being parcelled out in and around Harare by dubious developers and the question now is who is supposed to put a stop to this as council waits idly by and either waits to demolish or sanitise some of these illegal settlements sprouting everywhere. There is need for hotline numbers to report these suspicious barons. — Eliah. Readers are invited to send comments and feedback through any of the above platforms.
