ZANU-PF attained a two thirds majority of the parliamentary seats, so it’s really imperative for unity and peace to start at the party level. If there is unity, then corruption can be controlled. — @ ChuruNigel

Response to “16 days of activism against gender-based violence”

Zimbabwe has brutal gender-based violence, especially in the central business district of Harare. Women are facing untold violence and its demoralising. Something has to be done to make sure this form of abuse — shouting at a person because of what they choose to wear — ends. Vendors, kombi drivers and hwindis are the main abusers because they believe they have the rights to say whatever they want. Their freedom should not infringe on other people’s rights. It could be because of ignorance, so they need to be educated about gender-based violence. — Tanaka Karugonjo

*** Response to, “Toyota Wish’s reckless drivers . . . Zimbabwe’s new ‘serial killers’”

Why is the Government not authorising police to arrest unlicensed and irresponsible drivers? Attitude and behaviour of drivers in Zimbabwe is wicked. We must work on that together. — McDonald Machipisa www.herald.co.zw

Responses to “EDITORIAL COMMENT: Inter-party talks would cost ED the economy”

ZANU-PF should stick to its guns, it won the July 30 elections fair and square, there is no need to consider talks. They should NEVER allow talks with this wicked opposition MDC-A. Chamisa cannot hold the people of Zimbabwe hostage just because he wants to assert himself as the man with the keys to Zimbabwe’s economic recovery.

Let the people of Zimbabwe understand and also know that they are the keys to Zimbabwe’s economic recovery, through adopting Government initiatives to resuscitate our economy and working as one people to attain the middle-income economy status by 2030.

Chamisa is not God, he is just an immature politician who wants to smuggle himself to the big table through the back door.

Let’s all reject him with the contempt he deserves. - Prosperity Mzila
