Response to “Govt freezes trainee nurses’ recruitment”

Corruption is rife in referral and provincial hospitals as tutors are collecting money through their syndicates. There should be an independent commission to handle applications, or online applications to curb corruption. — @ Tm09910408.

*** Responses to “RG relaxes birth certificates issuance to Diasporans”

Exactly, we should be able to renew/ apply for passports online and pay for shipping as well. I’m sure that would create some revenue for the postmaster as well. — @abrahamseda.

*** Great move by the RG. The cost was prohibitive for most families. The move is much appreciated now. — @Chaurura. The Herald — Zimbabwe

Response to “Ray of hope for British Brigade”

New RG should solve this and all UK-based Zimbabwean players must get passports as soon as possible. We need them to feature in our game against Congo to book a place in AFCON 2019. — Taffy Mataga.

*** Response to “Manicaland still boasts lowest HIV/AIDS rates”

Good news for my home province. — Taffy Mataga. SMS/WhatsApp: +263714111101

Response to “Govt freezes trainee nurses’ recruitment”

Great initiative by the Government. We have been abused enough. A lot of people with requisite qualifications have been failing to get places for nurse training. Bravo! — Hamandishe. www.herald.co.zw

Responses to “Doctors, Govt talks move a gear up”

It’s important that striking doctors also consider the plight of patients in hospitals and return to work. Government has given in to some of their demands and as the doctors wait for the rest of these to be met, may they also fulfil their duties and be at work! This has gone on for too long already. Doctors should also be patient enough and appreciate that it may take a little more time for all their issues to be addressed. — Tatenda.

*** It shows the seriousness with which Government takes the issue of doctors’ strike. It’s not like the Government does not want to pay them in United States dollars, but the problem is that the money is not there. Government would want to pay its entire workforce in US dollars, but there is nothing in its coffers. — Tafara Shumba.

*** Responses to “RG relaxes birth certificates issuance to Diasporans”

Good move. The RG’s office should also issue passports at district level. — Goto.

*** We should issue passports in the Diaspora too as was the case in the past. Zimbabwe must open up services to citizens abroad. — Mufaro Sibanda.

*** Responses to “Thumbs-up for Motlanthe report”

The commission did justice to the issue at hand, especially where it recommended compensation for all victims, and their dependants; registration of political parties for accountability purposes as well as enforcement of law and order to ensure a peaceful environment.

Zimbabwean should embrace this report given that it is the first such report to be made public. — Elijah Chihota.

*** The new dispensation has been making commendable efforts in being transparent and accountable in its actions.

Thanks to President Mnangagwa for standing by his word that the findings of the commission would be released to the public. — Tatenda.

*** It is a fair report, but let it not be a report only. Let’s pick on some recommendations and implement them. That way we would have closed a chapter in our history. — Elia.
