Response to “Government dismayed by doctors’ stance despite concessions . . . Moves to restore normalcy” We the taxpayers demand that they should listen to our grievances. Our tax pays their salaries. They should stop airing their grievance in darkness and speak to us in broad daylight. — @peump.

Response to “Government dismayed by doctors’ stance despite

concessions” Doctors should not hold Government to ransom. There is need for a win-win dialogue which puts the Zimbabwean people first. All of us are struggling to put food on the table for our families, let alone pay for medical services in foreign currency. — Kenny Musumare.

*** Response to “Let’s remain focused-ED” Bravo Mr President! We all have a duty to play in the creation of the Zimbabwe we want. We should all put the harmonised elections of July 2018 behind us, and concentrate on our burdened economy. Politics, politics and more politics is a recipe for disaster for us as a nation. Rebuilding the economy requires input from all of us regardless of political affiliation, ethnic and religious background. — Muchaneta Tagwa.

Response to “Government dismayed by doctors’ stance despite

concessions” The Government has met most of the demands by the doctors, so why do they continue to hold the nation to ransom? A vehicle loan scheme has been approved and Government is committed to review their salaries. There is a noticeable improvement in the supply of essential and critical drugs. It is not legally sustainable for Government to pay a segment of its workforce in US dollars, while paying others differently. Government has a duty to offer same employment conditions to its workforce. Paying doctors only in US dollars would lead to a civil service-wide strike, as all civil servants would demand similar US dollar payments. In the circumstances, a hidden political hand to destabilise Government cannot be ruled out. — Bevan Musoko.

Response to “Economy has

potential to recover” True, everything will be all right soon. We need to be patient. Let’s give it months and witness great changes with the measures our Government put in place for 2019. — Arnold Tinoda Mupfawi.

*** Responses to “Government dismayed by doctors’ stance despite

concessions” Why is it that the curiously named “Zimbabwe Doctors for Human Rights” is silent about the trampling on patients’ human rights?

Or are they sponsored political scumbags, I suspected they are. Why is the curiously named “Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights” not taking up dumped patients’ human rights issues? Or are they also sponsored political scumbags as I suspected? — Tengenenge.

*** It’s now apparent these young doctors are taking instructions from Harvest House and it’s a pity politics has found its ugly hand into this at the expense of the sick.

The Government should try talk to Cuba which helped us the last time as a stop gap measure, and punish these heartless young men and women. My advice to those doctors who are now dabbling in politics is come out in the open and form your own political party. We are tired of this politicking game under the guise of grievances. — Eliah.

*** Response to “Zim mulls labour

exports to S. Sudan” Cuba used to send its doctors and teachers to Zimbabwe and many other countries in Africa. This is a positive development as it will create employment, and the country will also earn foreign currency. — Gakangoma77.
