Don’t waste time fighting: Kazembe
ZANU-PF Mashonaland Central provincial chairperson Cde Kazembe Kazembe has warned party members against wasting time fighting at the expense of economic development.
Speaking during a Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting in Bindura recently, Cde Kazembe appealed to the provincial party leadership to unite and work together, and never to let the enemy divide them.
“Let us not spend our time fighting each other. Instead, we should use our energy to fight the enemy who is attacking the party as witnessed by the recent violent demonstrations that rocked the country nationwide whose agenda was regime change,” he said.
“If we win, we win together and if we have challenges we should face them together. So let us be careful, let us not be divided comrades, let us remain united. We have bigger problems as a party to deal with. We have a manifesto where we promised the electorate certain things that we need to fulfil. We need to go out and fulfil those promises. It was a contract between us and those who voted for us.
“We must be asking ourselves as a province where we stand in terms of the devolution agenda. We should be fighting to make sure that our province outshines other provinces. We should be fighting to ensure the development to our province.”
Speaking at the same occasion, Politburo member and Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Resettlement Minister Parrance Shiri urged members to find amicable ways of resolving conflicts.
