Responses to “Govt sets new producer prices”

Government is there to protect the producer so that they will continue in the farming business. — @Nkosana.

*** Oh yes! A good morning for me. I am gazing at my good soya and maize crops on my A1 plot. Will soon be harvesting. Not a harvest of thorns as the writer Shimmer Chinodya would put it. — @Mzvinavhu.

*** Good decision made by the Government. This will greatly motivate farmers and make it easier to access their inputs and go back into their fields happily. — @Rossah.

*** Producer price guarantee strategy works were you aggressively participate in both ends of market. We need a clear end-market strategy for processors for the whole agroindustry to work. — @Pavlov.

Responses to “President hosts Idai restoration indaba”

Please can you also tackle the issue of abuse of donations which has now taken centre stage and from reports filtering through the issue may become unmanageable sooner rather than later with the victims standing to lose out. — @Eish.

*** This is very important in order to consolidate and coordinate efforts from within and outside Zimbabwe towards Cyclone Idai victims. — @Gakangoma.

*** Normalcy should be restored especially considering that business has ground to a halt stopped and learning has been disrupted at schools. — @Dabu36. The Herald — Zimbabwe

*** I was on the ICCR scholarship scheme in 1993 and graduated in engineering. It is a well-managed scheme and I thank them for that. — Darlington Mhaka.

*** Responses to “Govt to bolster internet access” Good development as good internet access lures investors. — D.N.

Responses to“Health strategy to cost $23bn”

Way to go, but from your report health needs $8,5 billion maximum if we go with Scenario 3 and minimum $6,9 if we go with Scenario 1. It makes sense when we speak of these numbers rather than $23 billion over five years. I would posit that if we take 5 percent of this amount and invest in local research institutions we will be able to create partnerships on the global market place to develop business models and products that meet the needs and specifications of Zimbabwe and sub-Saharan Africa in general. This approach attracts large companies to either buy into our ecosystems and thus bring the ever elusive or FDI locate for the synergies they get from our human resource value chains. — Magaya.

*** Whilst it makes sense to talk of these colossal figures to the neutrals it is another way of trying to hide failure by this sector if they do improve anything I would have suggested these figures be run in comparison to what can be done given the available resources not to scare the nation into resignation inasfar as health care is concerned. — Eliah.

*** Cancer hospitals must be established as soon as possible. I mean real ones. And I think we need at least six fully operational ones. That alone can surpass $6 billion USD. — Moe_Syslack

*** For sure the health sector needs serious attention for things to improve. The Government must take a closer look. — Tinoda.
