Response to “Zesa blacklists debtors” People should just pay up. The economy cannot survive on people who want to get everything for free. Miners, for example, make a lot of money from gold that they sell in United States dollars and yet do not want to pay for the electricity they use. Same applies to politicians and farmers. If electricity is really a necessity, then you have to be prepared to pay. — Zimborig.

Response to “Updated: 10 perish as buses collide” When we declare national disasters we also say that funeral costs are borne by the State. That’s our mistake number one. There is someone who has erred in driving and so that bus company must pay. If we want the funerals to happen quickly, the more that the State should do is to advance money for the funerals, to be recovered from the bus company. How can we allow bus companies to be so negligent in running their businesses? Funeral costs must be recovered from the bus companies. If necessary, the court can impound the remaining buses. Secondly, how come there is never any punishment of the directors of the company? Surely, if the directors are not supervising their staff (drivers, mechanics etc), the State must ban the directors or withdraw the bus licence. — Tafara Yaniso Dube.

Response to “Illegal ‘mobile fuel stations’ at city ranks” Authorities should put an end to this issue. We cannot have every person being a law unto themselves. Selling fuel in the open is risky. — Takaenda.

Response to “goes after ZACC

loot stashed in SADC”

Cde Editor, Yes, Yes! ZACC should make sure all economic criminals must return to Zimbabwe after they have mercilessly looted from this nation. Houses or any properties abroad should be acquired by our Government to ensure this never happens again. In Zimbabwe, all houses or properties built with money that does not meet the lifestyle forensic audits and ZIMRA taxpaying records must be forfeited to the State and people of Zimbabwe. All multiple farm occupations must be abolished regardless of former or current statuses of economic criminal persons. Every criminal stone must be turned upside down to reveal the crimes committed. Economic sins cannot wait for the biblical return of Jesus Christ to be adjudicated. The Zimbabwe nation wants real action. We are ready to count how many criminals who are to be nailed, given ZACC’s current continuous preaching. Action is the keynote of success. Amen! — Cde Mzvinavhu (Prof).

Responses to “Irrigation key to

promoting food security” That is brilliant! However, there is need to do more, electricity must be affordable and available. We have vast areas of fertile land, which are underutilised, because of poor rainfall patterns. — Gerald Mujiri.

Rural areas must be electrified, because they play a crucial part in providing food through small-scale and large-scale farming. — Oscar Muravire.
