Response to “Zim needs a reliable mass transport system”

Zupco buses are helping us, but the employees are rough. They are not trained to handle customers in a polite way. I once boarded a Zupco bus to Domboshava, and I wanted to drop off in Hatcliff. They refused to drop us off and shouted at us like we are not human beings. The female conductors are even worse; they do not consider that we pay for their service. Kombi operators are far much better because they have some respect for passengers. Please Zupco, train your staff on how to handle passengers. As much as the Zupco buses are cheap, they do not have to treat us as if we are their children. —@ Moholo.

Response to “Youths mustn’t

tire in corruption fight” Youths have a great part to play in reducing corruption in the country. After all, they are the leaders of tomorrow. If they do not take part in the fight against corruption, the same problems we are facing today will forever torment us as a country. — Healey.

Response to “defends local

currency”

We support the Government all the way in issuing out new notes and coins. This will bring cash barons, who have been taking advantage of desperate citizens, to an lick their wounds. Cash will be readily available in banks, making it easy for us. This is a move in the right direction. — Chofamba.

Response to “Farmers welcome Command Agric fund terms” Command Agriculture has helped us a lot especially now that inputs are very expensive. A bag of Compound D fertiliser is going for $400 which we cannot afford.

This programme makes life easy for farmers. We will not have to worry about fertiliser and seeds. We are very happy about it and we do not wish for it to end. Together with the Presidential Inputs Scheme, we will manage to produce enough to feed the country. — Makaita.

Response to “City bigwigs blow

money on banned trips” Nothing justifies the extravagant spending of ratepayers’ money taking place at Harare City Council. They do not have to abuse funds, most council employees are suffering, but they do not think of them. Why waste a lot of money if the meetings can just take place in the Central Business District? We do not achieve anything if we wantonly use money this way. They have to put the people they are serving first before anything else. — Thandeka.

I saw an article in The Herald recently which was condemning out-of-town workshops and meetings, but I’m surprised to see that they (council officials) were on another trip in Kadoma. Why can’t council officials just listen to what they have been told?

This only affects us residents whom they are supposed to serve. We do not access clean drinking water, but they are doing nothing to end the situation. — Tawananyasha.
