Responses to “New bird in Zim skies . . .”
For once as Zimbabweans, let us all be positive. The new plane is set to boost the economy, especially the tourism sector. Remember Air Zimbabwe had only one plane left and this addition breathes life to the national carrier as it will now be able to service long distances such as London and Beijing. — Letty Mabhena.

The new dispensation is working tirelessly to revive and support the airline. This aeroplane will help boost tourism and the economy when it starts going on its routes, bringing in the foreign currency we so much need as a country. — Gift Mashoko.

Response to “Govt dismisses
Chamisa speech” Chamisa has been holding these addresses for a long time now, but we do not see any change. He knows the economic problems we are facing are emanating from sanctions. He supports America not to drop sanctions, which affects us as a country. Chamisa should know dialogue is the only way to resolve the situation and uphold the needs of the people. If he has the people at heart, he will see it important to join Polad. — Carol Tawananyasha.
Response to “Council suspends
senior water engineers”
Is it fair to suspend these employees? Why not fire the mayor and town clerk? Urbanites, particularly those in Harare should not blame anyone for the woes they are facing. The fault is entirely theirs. — Masaisai.
Responses to “Teachers
rule out strike”
Only selfish political organisations and “cashvists” in the mould of the Amalgamated Rural Teachers of Zimbabwe ( ARTUZ) and the Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe ( PTUZ) wish the country’s education sector to grind to a halt. The leaders of such organisations serve no one’s interests except their own. — Nobleman Runyanga.

We give thanks where it is due. ZIMTA has shown maturity by refusing to be used by people with hidden political agendas who want to take advantage of teachers by using them to revolt against their employer. Dialogue is the way, avoid confrontation. — Denny.
Response to “2022 draw: WC Warriors brace for tough oppo
nents”
I do not think the qualification procedure in Africa develops football for the continent. Some nations only play one round of matches and are eliminated year in year out and they don’t get to rub shoulders with some of the heavyweights. They are sidelined until the next qualification only to play two games and wait again after elimination. Why did we not have four groups of 10 nations with opportunities also being given to second placed teams? — Omahn.
