Responses to “65 returnees from

demand hotel quarantine” UK Do not listen to them. They are spoilt. We are in a national lockdown and they are complaining about sharing a toilet. How many toilets were they sharing on the plane? — @efmatyora.

There is need to convince these fellow countryman and women so that they understand we are in a crisis. It is unreasonable for them to demand luxuries in a situation like this unless they’re going to meet the cost. — @ LewisMatutu.

They don’t pay taxes, why would they think that we must put them up in hotels? If they wanted hotels, why did they come here? Are there no hotels in the UK? — @TinoChinyoka.

Talk about selfish people. We are in the middle of a crisis and they still want luxuries. Shame on them. Have these people brought ventilators or PPEs for frontline health workers? — @PamelaMagaya.

At whose expense do they want to stay in a hotel? Why were they travelling at such a risky time? Why did they not just stay where they were until Covid-19 died out? These are the same people who say bad things about Government and even call for sanctions when they are comfortable in the UK. Now that it is not comfortable living there, they know that Zimbabwe has a Government. They should stay where Government put them period. — Ndini ndadaro.

Response to “Big Three member raises alarm . . . ‘Domestic football programme could be scrapped’” My question has always been why is NetOne, a quasi-public company only sponsoring three teams in the league and not the entire league? This is our company and everyone must benefit. — Masaisai.

*** Shebeens have become a problem in many areas, especially in rural communities. Most people do not practice precautionary measures like social distancing to avoid getting Covid-19. People who reside near these shebeens should report to police to stop this. Let us cooperate and fight this invisible virus. Beer will still be there after the Covid-19 pandemic, so let us not risk our lives for a high. — Tichaona Raivha, Murombedzi.

In Nyameni, Marondera, a lot of people are moving around and streets are packed. It seems like normal times for the township dwellers. Water is a huge problem and there are huge numbers of people at boreholes mostly children and women further exposing them to the pandemic. They have no face masks, no social distancing and no one is sanitising the borehole handle. Bars are selling from the back door. — Baba Pearl, Marondera.

Reported cases of Covid-19 are increasing. This goes to show why we should stay at home to prevent further spread. It is for our own good. I am glad that President Mnangagwa extended the national lockdown by a further 14 days. — Thandeka Tsepo.
