I am worried that some people think wearing face masks means they should stop good hygiene. Using cloth face masks does not mean we should stop other Covid-19 preventative measures like hand-washing and social distancing. Let’s stay safe and beat Covid-19. — @Mikatee.

Response to “There is a method to the MDC’s antics” The “kudira jecha” strategy is multi-faceted. When Government does something that is obviously good and the “jechists” themselves are crumbling, they have to poke holes into the Government’s chute to spoil the party. Resource limited as we are, we have done remarkably well in handling the Covid-19 and WHO even acknowledges it. In the early days there were sick jokes about our President parroting president Ramaphosa because of the similarities in the lockdown pronouncements, those jokes died when it progressively became apparent that there were obvious differences both in the pronouncements and the progression of the pandemic. While some light has been shining in the ZANU PF house, the MDCA has been in flames. This is why they deployed the now all too familiar strategy to divert attention and give themselves some chance of getting “positive” publicity from those pitying them. Apparently public interest in this strategy died with the hide and seek game played by Magombeyi not so long ago. — Nyikavanhu.

I am deeply concerned with the increased number of people selling various items. The way these people are casually going about their business as if everything is normal leaves me speechless. These vendors do not even have protective clothing and may come in contact with infected people. The same vendors are likely to further infect others as they go door-to-door. Things are hard, but let us heed the message of staying home. It is important to stay safe. — Marvellous, Harare.

The easing of lockdown restrictions has resulted in some people going back to work. This is happening at a time winter is approaching. Let’s take all precautionary measures to avoid colds and flu. With Covid-19 around, people may run scared not knowing whether what they have is an ordinary cold or flu, or the Covid-19 virus. Stay safe. — Gumbo, Kambuzuma.
