Responses to “Editorial Comment: Mobile money measures should not cause disruption” This is appreciated as long as all illegal foreign currency dealers are not on the streets fixing exchange rates by providing their own, and as long as we do not find them in possession of brand new local currencies on the streets. Also appreciated as long as that will also end up in price reduction or price stability. Welcome as long as we do not have a three tier pricing system where one item has different prices — one for the local bond dollar, one for the so-called US dollar and one for the EcoCash. The litmus test reflects on prices. — KK.

Responses to “Explosives factory to save US$ 20 million”

It appears there is a lot of investment happening in this country that we do not know. Why shouldn’t there be a bi-annual bulletin from the relevant arms of Government to brief us on all national developments in the economy? If people know, it creates a positive attitude towards our country. Currently, those bend on maligning this country are taking advantage of the lack of information on projects that are being done in the country. — Masaisai.

Response to “Plot to destabilise

economy exposed” People have suffered for a very long time and if those causing mayhem in the economy are known, why are they being let loose? Money changers continue to swarm the streets and openly engage in their activities without anything being done. They may be runners, but if they are removed from the streets and possibly prosecuted, that may be the start. Sensible people know that sanctions are a cause of some of the economic challenges. Remove money changers from the streets of Harare, Bulawayo and growth points. Prosecute the mobile money agents and their accomplices. — L Makombe.

Response to “Malawians retrace their founding fathers’

dream”

The so-called Zimbabwean opposition is failing to define its opposition context. They are just fascinated by the term opposition and draw parallels with themselves. They don’t want to acknowledge that their roots are those of the former Rhodes which once ruled Southern Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland combined. Malawi’s victory is an African victory from Nyasaland to Malawi. Remember Hillary Clinton left Malawi hurriedly, a swarm of bees behind her, when she wanted to introduce unAfrican values secretly in that country. — Kunta Kinte.
