Response to “Cabinet approves revised Gwanda solar project”

A full forensic audit of the project from the time the tender was fl oated up to now was needed. There are so many grey areas. — @Masaisai. ***

Response to “No discrimination in farm downsizing” Yes, the minister is spot on. There should be no discrimination at all. To be more transparent, our Government should also publish the land holding sizes in all provinces. — Cde M.

Please continue with the exercise for the appeasement of our fallen heroes and as a way of consolidating that land is for Zimbabweans. The war for this land was a vicious one. — Kunta Kinte.

Responses to “Factor-in sala

ries in Budget: HSB”

When public sector employers/ employees debate the salary issue, they must also consider that the public sector expenditure is one of the major causes of inflation. Zimbabwe employment sector is more than the public sector. This selfish approach is killing our economy, among other factors. When the private sector is shrinking, where does the public sector get the taxes to pay for the perennial increases? Print money? With droughts and the lockdown, businesses are not growing. Less taxes mean less revenue. Public servants, legislators, Cabinet ministers, et al, must feel the pinch like private sector workers, too. As liberation hero I say, we died for all Zimbabweans. — CMProf.

Response to “Harare reverses

parking fees hike”

It is like a driver reversing the car after noticing a wall in front. Are the City Mothers or Fathers now discussing demolishing the wall? When the city decides on such an important and sensitive issue, do the executives discuss soberly before finalising. When I was an executive in private sector, we would discuss such important issues in the executive committee. We would look at all factors such as financial , risks and compliance, inter alia, before moving forward, unlike in our public sector. Interestingly, the city council is controlled by MDC, which ever faction. Learned Biti remains silent on this parking fees drama, while he is nursing political wounds arising from political disarray in the movement for destructive change. — Cde Mzvinavhu (Prof)

Response to “New stadium for

Bulawayo”

I am sure BCC will do it well before the City of Harare, but also consider that this space has many layers of memories and histories. Designers can work on this same space to upgrade and modernise this facility. Look at the English Premiership League teams, they do not completely abandon their stadia to new locations. — Mura Costa Tarabuku.
