Response to “Sanctions hampering Zim development” Only political “puppets” of the sanctions-imposing West, masquerading MDC-ALLIANCE ( MDC-A) continue to support the satanic sanctions, against our national economic interests. The clear fact that SADC and progressive nations of the world are uniting against the evil sanctions, should make the MDC-A leadership repent and start travelling on the road to Damascus. Zimbabwe’s opposition leaders must take heed of the Pan African Unity’s call against sanctions and join SADC in denouncing them.

Biti, Chamisa, Sikhala, et al, are living and squandering their political capital by continuing to labour against our national interests. As ZANU PF has declared, Zimbabweans will never allow any political party opposed to our national interests form a government in Zimbabwe. Any attempts by the West to impose a sellout regime in Zimbabwe will be resisted by all means available to our nation. We are instilling that assertion to all young Zimbabweans so that when, we liberations hero depart to Heroes Acres dotted across Zimbabwe, the young generation will defend our liberation legacy. I speak as one of liberation heroes, who abhor any political tomfoolery in Zimbabwe. — Cde Mzvinavhu(Prof).

We wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured in this unfortunate incident. My understanding of law and order in any country, Western countries included, is that any order made by a genuine police officer should be complied with without fail. If one feels that the order is harsh there are channels to be followed to seek redress from the ultimate commanders. Procedures have to be followed to avoid what happened. If the tout as we are made to understand was asked to produce his licence and also to disembark from the bus and he refused, that is a form of extreme violence towards law enforcement agents. Why did he not comply and perhaps ask for mercy if he knew he did not have the driver’s licence as well as a Defensive Driving Certificate?

Why did he refuse to disembark to avoid police officers using force to drag him from the bus? It appears to me the guy was employing terrorist tactics of using innocent people as shied in this case, as witnessed by him not leaving the bus till it was teargassed. He should be asked to meet all the expenses those passengers incurred in seeking medical attention. — Acres.
